Using old candles as Firelights
Wondering what to do with your old candles?
We've all got old candles and tea lights hidden in draws and cupoboards. What possible use have they got? Strangely I find it hard to throw old candles out but I have no problem in throwing them on a fire.
If you are out of firelights and need to start a fire use some tealights, they are great at getting a fire going. If you want to breath new life into a dying fire add a old candle with your new fuel. A word of warning - they will burn quite strongly so be very careful.
It could save you a trip on a cold winters evening.
